The entire job which was huge, was finished and cleaned up in a day in a half. Well worth the $2,900 as a job of this size and difficulty would have taken me at least a full week and put me way behind. Many of us do it yourselfers know just enough to tackle our home improvement projects, but there are times when it pays to call in the experts. With my need to move the vent pipe and water supply lines, I called the experts at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and recommend that you do the same. The job was done correctly, by a professional which gives me great piece of mind when I sell the property.
Need a quick fix? After having a plumber come out to your house, they might tell you the part needed to fix your toilet or sink issue is going to take a week. Don’t be too amenable if you can’t wait. There’s no shame in working with another plumber who can get the part and do the job when you need it. If you’re doing the job yourself, be sure you know these tips for completing a plumbing fix like a pro. https://youtube.com/v/hokTzqWiBMQ?version=3
I tried to DIY a clogged drain in the bathroom sink and ended up creating a steady leak. I called ProDrain around 11:45am and they dispatched help out to my place with the time range of 3:00 - 5:00pm. At exactly 3:00pm on the dot, Tyler was at my door. He was very kind and very professional. Worked for 35 minutes and was out the door. He was able to clear the clog AND fix my mistake...all for the standard service charge. Definitely will use them again. Thank you for your help.
Wooden pipes were used in London and elsewhere during the 16th and 17th centuries. The pipes were hollowed-out logs, which were tapered at the end with a small hole in which the water would pass through. The multiple pipes were then sealed together with hot animal fat. They were often used in Montreal and Boston in the 1800s, and built-up wooden tubes were widely used in the USA during the 20th century. These pipes, used in place of corrugated iron or reinforced concrete pipes, were made of sections cut from short lengths of wood. Locking of adjacent rings with hardwood dowel pins produced a flexible structure. About 100,000 feet of these wooden pipes were installed during WW2 in drainage culverts, storm sewers and conduits, under highways and at army camps, naval stations, airfields and ordnance plants.
Never try there service.....These ppl only tell lies...they give you 2 hours of window and when you call them to ask when there person gonna come for work they have no answer and the lady who is answering doesnt have any idea what is going on. She tells that plumber has not done with his first job but he will be there at your place on time. These ppl are wasting out time and not providing any good service. Worst service i have ever seen and operators are too rude to talk. They will yell at you if you start asking more questions or ask them to justify there answer. And later they threaten you to cancel your appointment. Either they should close there shop or they should ask someone professional to manage there time slot which they provide to the customers. These ppl are good for nothing.

Severe plumbing emergencies can cause a lot of collateral damage and result in high costs if not addressed immediately. For example, if your basement floods at 2:00 A.M., it’s vital that an emergency plumber visits right away to resolve the problem and prevent further water damage. Our technicians can arrive at your residence as soon as possible, bringing state-of-the-art equipment to address the plumbing emergency, complete the job in a timely and efficient manner, and get your household plumbing systems back to normal quickly.
Not only do plumber apprentices have to complete their training and education to receive their licenses, they also are required to pass a criminal background check and carry liability insurance. Hiring just anybody can make you vulnerable to fraud since unlicensed plumbers might not know what they're doing or could pretend to fix something and end up charging you for the incomplete work. http://www.youtube.com/v/hokTzqWiBMQ&feature=youtu.be
"We have never used CroppMetcalfe before, but awoke in the wee hours to a plumbing emergency, so we tried calling. We were thrilled to get a noon - 5 PM service window. Levi did a great job and arrived early. (We were notified he could arrive early which was very welcome.) We bought a PSP and look forward to using CroppMetcalfe in the future, though hopefully only for scheduled calls. No more plumbing emergencies would be good. We are especially grateful for the timely "call ahead" because we've got two big, loud dogs, so it's important for us to get them out of the way, so the service personnel can work. Thank you for your excellent service."
Much of the plumbing work in populated areas is regulated by government or quasi-government agencies due to the direct impact on the public's health, safety, and welfare. Plumbing installation and repair work on residences and other buildings generally must be done according to plumbing and building codes to protect the inhabitants of the buildings and to ensure safe, quality construction to future buyers. If permits are required for work, plumbing contractors typically secure them from the authorities on behalf of home or building owners.
Average Americans work well into their 60s, so workers might as well have a job that’s enjoyable and a career that's fulfilling. A job with a low stress level, good work-life balance and solid prospects to improve, get promoted and earn a higher salary would make many employees happy. Here's how Plumbers job satisfaction is rated in terms of upward mobility, stress level and flexibility.
Present-day water-supply systems use a network of high-pressure pumps, and pipes in buildings are now made of copper, brass, plastic (particularly cross-linked polyethylene called PEX, which is estimated to be used in 60% of single-family homes), or other nontoxic material. Due to its toxicity, most cities moved away from lead water-supply piping by the 1920s in the United States, although lead pipes were approved by national plumbing codes into the 1980s, and lead was used in plumbing solder for drinking water until it was banned in 1986. Drain and vent lines are made of plastic, steel, cast-iron, or lead.
Luke and Seng were wonderful. Water not draining is troubling for any homeowner. Both were very professional and comforting as they assessed and worked to correct my problem. I was alarmed when is was not a quick fix but they made the extra effort to correct my problem so no concrete floor is being wrapped up today. Benjamin Franklin plumbing is on at the top of my list. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hokTzqWiBMQ&feature=youtu.be
